Say cheese!

Well I'm on the home stretch now, it is my last couple of days in Spain and it's making me sad. But on the flip side, Madrid is a nice way to end it!

If I had a Euro for every time I was stopped on the street by a random stranger making some smart arse comment about my camera, my trip would have been free of charge. No joke. Some of the lines I've heard (mostly in Madrid, Sevilla, London & Barcelona to be honest) have included some goldies like:
  • I'm ready for my close up now
  • Why don't you take a picture of me as a souvenir
  • I think you need a photo of me as a memento
  • Are you the paparazzi?
  • Are you a professional? Can you make me look good?
  • Why don't you let me pose for you?
  • If you take my picture I'll have to give you my number so you can send it to me (my personal favourite. This one got used a few times, mostly by construction workers...)
Today I decided to actually say yes to a couple to see what they'd say. It was pretty funny actually, they were all surprised when I did it and then I showed them their pic. He he he.

Anyway, besides construction workers, I took some other pics of the pretty sights of Madrid. I do have a soft spot for Madrid. Just too bad there's no beach - otherwise I might pack up my bags and move here.
