Home is where the heart is by Kylie Fuentes

I was walking around St John's Wood on my way to the infamous Abbey Road and spotted this. My dream house.
It is gorgeous, covered in what I think is Ivy (but someone who knows about botanicals feel free to correct me!) and deep red brick. I was lucky because the security gate was slightly ajar so I could stick my nosey camera round and grab this little pic.

Abbey Road was pretty interesting. Mostly because I couldn't believe how many tourists had made a pilgrimage to the zebra crossing & were waiting in a queue to do the Beatles walk across the road. Must be infuriating for the residents - the road is surprisingly busy.

What I loved was the Abbey Road studios. Right next to the crossing, the building was really majestic and posh, but the gate out the front was an open invitation for all to make their graffiti mark. There are literally thousands of comments from Beatles fans wanting to make their mark on the historical building. The effect is really nice, the wall really stands out against all the prim & properness of the surrounds.

How to make a living in London by Kylie Fuentes

So I've learnt a thing or two about how you can survive the GFC when living in London. And it's got nothing to do with the West End.

But I guess you could call them actors of sorts. It seems that every second person in London is trying to make a buck (*read pound) by standing around dressed in peculiar outfits. To their credit, some of them try to at least have a bit of an act. But most, well let's just say they've got plenty of time on their hands.
