Big Business in Santiago by Kylie Fuentes

One thing must be said. Santiago is full of big things. Big mountains, big cable cars, big menus, big streets and big statues. And generally, like this photo shows. Big, ahem, sporting types.

Today was a ridiculously fun day to be on the streets of Santiago. It was a public holiday and this afternoon the local football team competed in the national championship finals. People were celebrating crazy fanatic style everywhere you looked, crowding into bars, electronic stores and anywhere else there was a TV playing to catch the game. Such an amazing atmosphere. Glad to say that the home team won - no riots necessary!

Red blooded people by Kylie Fuentes

Food in Santiago is pretty awesome. But good god, they eat so much meat! Think it makes them a very passionate red blooded nation.

Went to dinner and seized the opportunity to do some people watching. Everyone here uses their hands to speak as much (maybe even more!) than I do. Who knew. Guess they took that from the Spaniards.

And the passion extends beyond the talking. They're passionate about each other also. If you're into your lover, show it. No such thing as too hot for Santiago. Get right in there and show them how you feel. Love it. No-one bats an eyelid. This pic isn't too pretty, but it captures the spirit like nothing else. And it gave me a good giggle. He's almost mauling her.
