Daintree delirium / by Kylie Fuentes

I think you've probably worked out by now that I like taking pictures of food. Especially when it is so freakin colourful and exotic like this ensemble. But sampling tropical fruit that tasted like old socks was just one of the many random experiences we had when we took a day trip into the Daintree Rainforest.

Like running into a pair of bikers at the top of the hill. Was supposed to be a 4x4 road, so I have no idea how they were planning on getting the whole way through & onto the exit. But they seemed relaxed about it - enough for this guy to even give me the thumbs up when I snapped a pic!

The coolest/scariest thing though had to be the feeding of these big red kangaroos. Apparently all kids do this here when they're young - clearly something left of the spanish curriculum so I never had the chance. So, given the opportunity, there I was screaming like a banshee with excitement and panic when the big jumping marsupials came my way. I was joined by about 10 tourist from China. The staff couldn't work out why I was there. Hilarious.
